A new law requiring Maryland businesses with 15 or more employees to provide up to five days of earned paid sick leave is scheduled to go into effect today, Sunday, February 11, 2018.
The law also covers part time employees. They accrue one hour of leave for every 30 hours worked. Employees that work at least 12 hours a week are eligible.
